Pumpkins are Taking Over the Land!

We planted 4 mounds of pumpkins in our garden this year. Not the little guys, the big guys. They have taken off like no other. Notice the "fingers" in the picture below. The vines are wanting to take over the entire yard, it seems with how they are creeping away from the garden. We are getting excited to harvest our pumpkins, have them on display, and take a few to our neighbors! Happy Harvest everyone!

Last year, I dumped some rotten gourds in my compost pile and this year they are taking over my yard and climbing up the fence.Crazy year!
Hope you enjoy all your pumpkins. Have fun making a jack-o-lantern with Kale. He is SO CUTE!

I've always wanted to grow pumpkins. We tried a few times growing up, but it was always way out in a bean field and didn't really work. I tried 2 years ago in Denver and failed miserably (although I learned a lot afterwards by researching online!). I guess you won't have to look for a pumpkin farm this year b/c you have your own! ;o)
